1. Heard.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, a lady aged about 59 years, working as Superintendent, District Rehabilitation OfÏce, Bilaspur, has been transferred to Jagdalpur District Bastar.

3. Considering the entire facts' situation of the case, particularly

the age of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with direction that in the event, the petitioner prefers a representation against the impugned transfer order within a period of 4 weeks from today before the competent authority, the same shall be decided by a speaking order, at the earliest, preferably within a further period of 08 weeks thereafter.

4. Till the petitioner's representation is decided or for a period of 12 weeks, whichever is earlier, status quo in respect of the petitioner's posting shall be maintained.

5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the petitioner's representation shall be decided strictly in accordance with law without treating any observations made in this order as opinion on the merits of the case.
