Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 02/07/2019
1. The limited prayer which the petitioner has sought for in the present writ petition was for releasing the provident fund amount that stood to his credit.
2. Though the petitioner also claimed for gratuity, but he did not press it at this juncture. So far as the release of the provident fund is concerned, the counsel appearing for the State on instructions submits that the State Government on scrutiny of the claim of the petitioner for release of provident fund has subsequently issued instructions in this regard to the office of Accountant General for releasing the same at the earliest.
3. Given the said submissions made by the State Government, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending, accordingly it is directed that the respondent No.4 shall pursue the
-2matter with the office of Accountant General for an early release of the provident fund dues lying in the credit of the petitioner at the earliest.
4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
