Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that pursuant to the amendment in the Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, the respondent authorities are obliged to execute the supplementary quarry lease under Rule 38A(3) of the Chhattisgarh Minor Mineral Rules, 2016 which has not been executed by the respondents till date. The petitioner has also made representations on 23.01.2017 and 30.08.2017 but it has not been considered and decided till date. 2.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.
Be that as it may, the respondent No. 2- Collector, Balodabazar is directed to consider and decide the petitioner's representations with regard to supplementary quarry lease expeditiously preferably within a period of 45
days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.
With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
