1. The accused/applicants have moved this bail application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for releasing them on regular bail during trial in connection with Crime No.70/2015, registered at Police Station: Patewa, Distt. Mahasamund, for the offence punishable under Section 20 (b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
2. Taking into consideration the nature and gravity of offence, recovery of 18.700 Kgs. of Ganja and the fact that bail application of similarly placed co-accused has been rejected, I am not inclined to grant bail to the applicants. Consequently, the application is rejected. However, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within four months.
