2. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the father of the petitioner Ramesh Kumar Naik died while he was working on the post of Accountant in the Office of the Block Education Officer Dharamjaigarh District Raigarh on 19.11.2018, thereafter the petitioner being his son had applied for the compassionate appointment on 13.12.2018 (Annexure P/1) which

was forwarded by the Block Education Officer to the District Education Officer on 24.12.2018 (Annexure P/2). It is contended that till date no decision has been taken on such application even the concerned period has passed.

3. Perusal of the document would show that the application for compassionate appointment of the petitioner was forwarded to the District Education Officer on 24.12.2018.

4. Taking into the fact that such a long period has been passed, it is directed that the respondent No. 3 shall decide the application of the compassionate appointment of the petitioner according to the existing Rules of the State within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid direction/ observation, the present writ petition stands disposed off. Sd/-/- (Goutam Bhaduri) Judge Vishakha
