On the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the appellant Ramesh Singh in CRA No.887 of 2018 had informed that the said appellant has died. Learned State counsel was allowed time to verify this statement.

Learned State counsel would place before the Court a communication received from Central Jail, Raipur along with death certificate signed by the Medical Officer, Central Jail, Raipur certifying that the appellant Ramesh Singh S/o Kripashankar Singh, inmate of Central Jail, Raipur, has died on 27.07.2019.

No application has been filed by the legal heirs of Ramesh Singh to continue the appeal, therefore, in these circumstances CRA No. 887 of 2018 is dismissed as abated.

Copy of information sent by Jail Superintendent, Raipur is retained in the record of CRA No.887 of 2019. CRA No. 1284 of 2018 filed by Dilip Kumar Jha shall be posted in the week after next.
