1. The limited relief which the petitioner sought for in the present writ petition is to the direction to respondent to immediately release retiral dues payable to the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, he had retired from service on 31.10.2018 and though more than 8 months have passed, till date no retiral dues have been released to the petitioner.

3. Counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no charge-sheet enquiry or criminal case pending against the petitioner that he has not been paid retiral dues from the date of retirement yet respondent authorities are sitting tight over his retiral dues.

Given the limited nature of dispute that the petitioner has raised, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the respondents No. 2 & 3 are directed to ensure that the retiral dues are released at the earliest without any further delay within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order, failing which the entire retiral dues shall carry interest rate of Rs. 10% per annum from the date of retirement till the actual date of payment which would be recoverable from the Employees/Officer who could not process the claim promptly.
