1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail as he apprehends his arrest in connection with Crime No.204/2020, registered at Police Station Urga District Korba for offence punishable under Section 376 of the IPC.

2. The applicant has committed sexual intercourse with the prosecutrix on promise to marry. Both of them went to Civil Court for documenting their marriage but the applicant deceived the prosecutrix and run away from the Court premises.

3. Considering the nature of allegations and the conduct of the applicant, I am not inclined to extend the benefit of Section 438 CrPC to the applicant. However, if the applicant surrenders and applies for regular bail before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, the concerned Court shall consider and decide the same expeditiously.
