The limited prayer that the counsel for the petitioner makes is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.1 to decide the representation that the petitioner has made against the illegal reduction of one annual increment, which the petitioner got on account of the petitioner having undergone the operation of Tubectomy (Family Planning).

According to the petitioner, he is entitled for the benefit in terms of the circulars governing the field, but the authorities have ignored the claim of the petitioner for no reason whatsoever and thereby the petitioner has been put to great loss. It is the further contention of the petitioner

that other similarly placed persons in the Department have got the benefits and are enjoying the fruits of the same. 3.

Given the limited relief that the petitioner seeks and also considering the nature of dispute, let the representation of the petitioner be decided in terms of the circulars issued by the State Government from time to time including the circular dated 07.08.2001 at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
