The petitioner, Sweeper in the Department of Veterinary Services, has preferred this writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to grant him the pay scale of Rs.2500-3200/-. 2.
According to learned counsel for the petitioners, similarly situated sweepers have been paid the above say pay scale, however, it appears, by clerical mistake, the petitioner's name has been left out, while the said pay scale was granted to others.

Considering the controversy involved in this writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with direction that if the petitioner submits a fresh representation before the competent authority within a period of 15 days from today, the competent authority shall consider and decide the said representation on merits, by a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a further period of three months. The authority shall specifically deal with the ground raised by the petitioner that the similarly situated sweepers have been granted the benefit of pay scale of Rs.2500-3200/-.
