Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 03.09.2020
1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the discrepancy of date of Birth in 12th standard mark-sheet, which was issued to the petitioner by the Respondent No. 1 Board.
2. According to the petitioner, all along her educational records, her date of Birth has been reflected as 06.04.1986 whereas inadvertently when the mark-sheet of 12th standard was issued way back in the year 2015, the date of Birth has been wrongly reflected as "09.04.1986" instead of "06.04.1986". The petitioner subsequently has got an employment and working as an Officer Assistant Grade III under the CSPDCL. It is the employer who has recently found the discrepancy in the mark-sheet and intimated the petitioner to get the date of birth in the mark-sheet corrected. It appears that the petitioner has approached the respondent No. 2 for correction of her date of birth whereas it ought to have been made to the respondent No. 1.
-23. Be that as it may, let the petitioner approach the respondent No. 1 by way of a detailed representation and all correspondences that she has received from the employer and other supporting documents in respect of her actual the date of Birth, the respondent No. 1 shall in turn consider the representation and decide the same in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of representation of the petitioner. Reserving the right of the petitioner to avail appropriate remedies in case if the grievance still survives.
4. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
