1. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner appeared in Higher Secondary Examination in the year 2014, however by mistake in the mark sheet the Date of Birth of the petitioner was shown as 28.06.1999 instead of 20.06.1997. Therefore, the petitioner approached the C.G. Board of Secondary Education, Raipur for correction of DOB in the mark sheet but no action has been taken place till date.

2. Learned counsel for the respondents on instructions submits that the petitioner has not filed the application for correction in the prescribed format and have not deposited the requisite fees, therefore his case could not be considered. He would further submit that the petitioner may file the application for correction of Date of Birth in proper format and deposit the requisite fees and it would be considered according to the rules.

3. Considering the submissions made, I am of the opinion that no purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending, therefore, it is directed that the petitioner

shall approach the respondents and shall file the application for correction of Date of Birth in proper format and shall deposit the requisite fees within 3 weeks, in such case, the respondents shall consider and decide the application of the petitioner according to the rules as expeditiously as possible.
