1. By order dated 28-9-15 passed in WPS 1719/2015, the applicant University was directed to decide the representation preferred by the writ petitioner within eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. The present application for extension of time has been preferred on the ground that the representation is to be considered by the Executive Council (for short 'the EC'), however, for want of nominee from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the constitution of EC is not yet complete, therefore, it may take some more time for the constitution of EC and the

decision on the representation preferred by the writ petitioner.

2. In Contempt petition No.575/2015, decided on 23-12-15, six weeks' time was allowed for deciding the representation, however, in view of the difficulty in convening the meeting of EC, this application for extension in time is disposed of with observation that the applicant shall decide the representation preferred by the writ petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date the constitution of EC is completed.
