The petitioner has challenged the transfer order by which he has been transferred from Champa to Pasan.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that under the transfer policy dated 21-04-2017 for the year 2017-18, an Officer who is going to retire within a period of 3 years is entitled to be considered for posting to his home region.

At this stage, learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the petitioners request for posting to his home region would be considered in terms of policy within a period of 3 weeks.

Considering the said submission, I am not inclined to keep this matter pending. Accordingly, the petition is disposed off with direction to respondents to consider petitioner request in terms of clause 5 of Transfer policy dated 21-04-2017 within a period of 3 weeks from today.
