The petitioner is Sub Inspector in the Office of Assistant Commissioner, Chhattisgarh Excise Department, Raigarh. He has been transferred vide order Annexure P/1 from Raigarh to the office of the District Excise Officer, Koriya.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of direction to the respondent authorities to quash the order Annexure P/1, so far it relates to the petitioner. As per the petitioner's case he has filed representation Annexure P/4 which is still pending and has not been decided.

Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall file new representation within 15 days from the date of this order before the respondents No. 1 and 2. The respondents No. 1 and 2 shall decide such representation within 30 days from the date of receipt of such representation. Till, the disposal of the representation, status quo shall be maintained.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any fact regarding the merits of the case.
