1. The grievance of the petitioner seems to be the inaction on the part of the respondents in taking a decision on the claim of the petitioners for compassionate appointment.

2. According to the petitioner No.1, her Husband late Nohar Singh Verma working on the post of Head Constable died in harness on 29.02.2016. On the date of death the deceased was survived by the two petitioners the widow and son (Petitioner No.2) who were direct dependent upon the deceased. There is one more brother of the petitioner No.2 who is already employed, married and living separately elsewhere. The petitioner No.2

-2had moved an application for compassionate appointment initially on 25.07.2016 and subsequently various reminders have been made but till date the application has not been rejected or decided by the respondents.

3. Given the limited submissions on facts by the counsel for the petitioners, this court is of the opinion that the writ petition as of now can be disposed of directing the respondents No.2 to 4 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioners for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
