The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.09/2018 registered in Police Station Anti Corruption Bureau, Raipur (C.G.) for offence punishable under sections 7, 13(1)(d) & 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act. 2.

As per the prosecution case, a report was made by Balram that the applicant who was working as Assistant Agriculture Engineer, Kabirdham demanded an amount of Rs.10,000/- to clear the bill of Rs.2,87,000/- and at the time of payment he was caught red handed. 3.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that entire allegation itself would show that the applicant have been falsely implicated and it is further submitted that work was given to other agency, therefore there is no evidence to the fact that applicant was directly in touch with the alleged complainant as payment was to be released to the other agency by whom work was done, therefore the applicant may be released on bail.

Learned State counsel opposes the prayer for grant of bail. 5.

Perused the voluminous documents, transcription and the statement which are in the case diary. It appears that investigation is complete. Considering the same, nature of the documents so collected which appears to be documentary in nature, this court is inclined to release the applicant on bail.

Accordingly, the bail application is allowed and it is directed that the applicant shall be released on his furnishing personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety in the like sum to the satisfaction of concerned trial court for his regular appearance before it as and when directed.
