Learned counsel for the State would submit that appeal would lie before the Director General of Police

under Regulation 262 of the Chhattisgarh Police Regulations.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he may be allowed to prefer an appeal before the Appellate Authority.

Prayer appears to be fair and reasonable.

If the petitioner prefers an appeal before the Appellate Authority within a period of 30 days from today, the Appellate Authority is directed to consider and decide his appeal within a period of three months from the date of presentation of the appeal.
