1. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondent No. 2 to decide the service appeal preferred by him.

2. The petitioner was a police constable posted at Khadgaon, District - Rajnandgaon. After the departmental inquiry, he was dismissed by the Superintendent of Police, Rajnandgaon on 21.09.2015. Being aggrieved he preferred the appeal before the respondent No.2 which is still pending and not decided.

3. Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent No.2, the Director General of Police is directed to decide the aforesaid appeal of the petitioner, Annexure P/4 in accordance with the law and procedure within 2 months from the receipt of copy of this order.

4. It would be pertinent to mention that in the aforesaid dismissal order it has been mentioned that appeal may be preferred within 30 days to the respondent No.3, the Inspector General of Police.
