1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition was for an appropriate direction to the respondents for considering filling up of the post of Associate Professor by regular promotion in terms of the rules governing the field.

-22. The challenge also was to the advertisement issued for filling up of the post of Associate Professor by way of contractual appointment vide advertisement dated 27.06.2021.

3. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned State counsel shared a document dated 11.08.2021 issued by the Dean of the Government Medical College, Raipur whereby the advertisement dated 26.07.2021 pertaining to the filling up of the contractual appointment as Associate Professor has been canceled till further orders and learned State counsel also drew the attention of this Court to the document dated 26.06.2021 which is also marked as Annexure P-5 with the writ petition which reflects that respondents have initiated steps for filling up of the post of Associate Professors by way of promotion from among the eligible candidates.

4. Given the aforesaid two developments and two documents dated 11.08.2021 and Exhibit P-5 dated 26.06.2021 the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of, reserving the right of the petitioner to approach the Court in case if grievance still survives at a subsequent stage.

5. With the aforesaid observation, the Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of.
