At the outset learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner are approaching this Court at a stage when the counseling is completed and the results have been declared. He submits that if any seats remained vacant the respondents may be directed to consider their candidature.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that in the eventuality of seats remaining vacant despite counseling having been completed under the admission procedure under taken by now, the University shall abide by its own established procedure in the matter of filing of remaining seats.

In case any seats remain unfilled, the University would be at liberty to fill up vacant seats in accordance with its own established procedure and at that stage, the petitioner's claim on the basis of merit shall be taken into consideration in accordance with law. 4.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed off.
