The applicant has preferred this bail application for grant of bail as he has been arrested in connection with Crime No.77/2020 registered at Police Station - Sankra, District : Mahasamund, for the offence under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.

Applicant was married with the deceased on 12-3-2020. She committed suicide on 1-6-2020 in her maternal house. 4.

As per the material available in the case diary, it appears the applicant used to commit cruelty including physical cruelty on the deceased in a state of intoxication and on suspicion about her character. On the date of occurrence also he committed physical cruelty on the deceased.

Considering the fact that death has occurred within three months of marriage and the applicant has committed continuous physical cruelty driving the deceased to take extreme step, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the applicant at this stage.

Accordingly, the bail application is rejected. However, the applicant is at liberty to revive the prayer after examination of the material witnesses.
