1. Heard.

2. This is an application filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the applicant, who has been arrested in connection with Crime No.289/2020 registered at Police Station Mahasamund, District Mahasamund (CG) for the offence punishable under Section 20(B) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

3. While the applicant was driving and travelling from Saraipali to Raipur in Duster Car bearing registration No.CG-07-AN-9299, the

MCRC No. 5957 of 2020 vehicle was intercepted as the concerned Police OfÏcer had received secret information that the vehicle is involved in illicit transport of Ganja. On search, the vehicle was found to be carrying 17 Kg 500 gm of Ganja.

4. Considering the huge quantity of Ganja recovered from the applicant, I am of the opinion that present is not a fit case to release the applicant on regular bail.
