The prayer made by the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition is for issuance of direction to the respondent No.1 for early conclusion of the departmental enquiry which has been initiated against the petitioner. 2.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner was issued with a chargesheet as early as on 19/10/2015 and though more than 2 1⁄2 years have lapsed, the enquiry is still not concluded and the petitioner who has in between superannuated has not been able to receive his retiral dues. He further submits that, as per instructions, the enquiry proceedings also has been concluded except for the submission of enquiry report by the enquiry officer and further decision to be taken by the disciplinary authority.

Given the aforesaid submissions of the counsel for the petitioner, this Court does not intend to keep the Writ Petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to the respondent No.1 to ensure that the departmental enquiry initiated against the petitioner is concluded at the earliest preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4.

It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondent No.1 in respect of the order passed by this Court. 5.
