After hearing learned counsel for the parties, I deem it expedient to dispose off the matter at this stage.

The petitioner institution has filed this petition ventilating grievance that even though, the petitioner had sent request to the University to exempt their institution from election in terms of provisions contained in second proviso to Sub-clause (2) of clause 1 of Ordinance No.1 of the University, till date, no decision has been taken. It is submitted that reasons extraordinary to the present institution, it is difficult for them to hold election. 3.

Learned counsel for the University stated that the petition may be disposed off with appropriate direction to consider petitioner's representation.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed off with a direction that the petitioner's request/ representation for exemption from holding election shall be considered by Executive Council or if Executive Council is not in session by the Vice Chancellor of the University on or before 20th of August, 2015. Till the decision is taken, the University shall not insist the petitioner to conduct election.
