1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents No.1 and 2 be directed to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of employment in lieu of acquisition of land and to take appropriate decision expeditiously in view of the decision rendered by this Court in WPS No. 4364 of 2016, Sanjay Kanvar v. South Eastern Coalfields Limited and Others, decided on 02.09.2016.
2. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
3. The prayer appears to be fair and reasonable and is accordingly allowed.
4. Be that as it may, the respondents No. 1 and 2 are directed to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner for grant of employment in lieu of acquisition of land as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of copy of this order and in light of the decision rendered by this Court in Sanjay Kanvar (supra).
5. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
