1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents for considering the claim of petitioner for regularization.

2. According to petitioner, he has been working under respondent no.4 since 1995 onwards. The contention of learned counsel for petitioner

is that most of the persons similarly placed under respondent no.4, by efflux of time, have been regularized by respondent no.4 and it is only the petitioner who has been left out. It is the further contention that the President-in-Council under Nagar Palika Parisad, Dongargarh has also recommended for regularization of petitioner taking into consideration the satisfactory service that the petitioner has rendered right from the time of his appointment in the year 1995. The recommendation made by the President-in-Council has been forwarded to the Director of the Department as early as on 08.04.2021 and since then the matter is pending consideration before the respondent no.2.

3. Given the aforesaid factual backdrop, the present writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of petitioner for regularization at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. While taking a decision, it is expected that the authority concerned would also take note of the fact that many other similarly placed persons have already been regularized under respondent no.4 and many of them were also junior to the petitioner so far as the length of service is concerned.
