Shri V.G. Tamaskar, Advocate representing the private Respondent informs the Court that he has no instructions whatsoever on behalf of his client since he retired way back on 28.02.1994 and has gone to his native State i.e. Kerala. 2.

The issue was grant of benefit of promotion on the post of Assistant Executive (E-1 grade) w.e.f. 07.11.1989 instead of 30.06.1990 which was extended to him.

For all practical purposes, keeping in mind that there is no contest as such to the present appeal and in the given background, the interest of justice would be served by observing that the order of the learned Single Judge dated 08.10.2010 shall be confined to the grant of benefit of promotion on the post of Assistant Executive (E-1 grade) w.e.f. 30.06.1990 only. 4.
