This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure whereby prayer is made to correct the Crime number in the bail order dated 28.06.2016 passed in MCRC No.1017 of 2016 wherein bail was granted to the applicant.

It is contended that the actual Crime number is 54 of 2014 and not 2015, which is registered at Police Station Kumhari, District Durg (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Section 420, 408, 467, 468, 471, 381, 34 of Indian Penal Code.

Learned State counsel do not dispute the fact that the actual Crime number is 54 of 2014 which is also appears to be correct as per Annexure A-2, which is a copy of front page of the challan. 4.

Having regard to the facts of this case, it is observed that in the order dated 28.06.2016 passed in MCRC No.1017 of 2016, the Crime No. be read as 54 of 2014 instead of 2015. 5.
