Ignoring the defaults pointed out by the Office in the present Writ Petition, the matter was finally heard at admission stage itself with the consent of learned Counsels for the parties.

Matter pertains to the inaction on the part of Respondents in not considering the claim of Petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

Claim of Petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment is on the basis of the death of his father who died in harness on 19.4.2021 which has been wrongly mentioned in the present Writ Petition as 21.4.2021. 4.

Learned Counsel for Petitioner submits that the Petitioner has moved the application for grant of compassionate appointment which is still pending consideration before the Respondents and therefore he prays that the Respondents may be directed to consider and decide the same at the earliest.

The limited prayer of Petitioner is not opposed by learned Deputy Government Advcoate appearing for the Respondents. 6.

Accordingly, the present Writ Petition is disposed of directing Respondents No.4 & 5 to take all necessary steps in ensuring that the application of Petitioner is decided on its own merits, in accordance with law, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
