1. The petitioner alleges contumacious act on the part of the respondent in not giving effect to the verdict passed by this Court on 14.07.2017 in WPPIL No.277/2017. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is no more; however, adding that the direction given by the Court has already been complied with and an order has been passed in this regard.
2. In the above circumstances, the contempt matter is closed as abated, however without prejudice to the rights of the interested parties in the Public Interest Litigation to pursue further steps, should any occasion arise in respect of the order passed by the Court on 14.07.2017 in WPPIL No.277/2017.
