Learned Counsel for the State points out that the Petitioner was appointed in 1988 and sought a highly belated correction of her date of birth in a writ petition filed in 2014 just before superannuation on 30.11.2014 based on a fresh date of birth certificate obtained from the authorities dated 9.10.2012, a highly questionable document.

In the facts of the case, considering the judicial view not to entertain claims for correction of date of birth at the fag end of the service career, the Court finds no merit in the writ application. 4.

The writ application is dismissed.
