The contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging willful disobedience of order dated 28.02.2018 passed in WPS No.1907 of 2018. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though more than four months have elapsed, till date, order of the Court has not been complied with and appropriate orders extending benefit of revised pay scale have not been given. 3.

Even though direction issued by this Court on 28.02.2018 did not prescribe any time limit, the authority cannot sit over the matter for indefinite period. 4.

Taking into consideration the nature of exercise required to be undertaken in compliance of order dated 28.02.2018, by now, the decision should have been taken and appropriate order passed.

However, as this Court has not given any time bound direction, as one time measure, 30 days time is granted to comply with the direction of this Court, failing which, this Court shall presume that the order of the Court is being willfully disobeyed and then to initiate contempt proceeding.

With the aforesaid observations, at this stage, the contempt petition is disposed off.

A copy of this order shall be placed before the respondent for compliance forthwith.
