Matter relates to grant of admission in the MBBS course for the year 2017 in what is known as Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College, Durg. 3.

The reason for the Petitioner to approach the Court was withdrawal of the caste certificate issued in her favour showing her belonging to Mahar caste, a Scheduled Tribe.

It seems that the last date fixed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court for grant of admission to such courses. as it then was 31.08.2017, and there was a clear statement made before the Court on behalf of the Respondents on 19.03.2018 that there was no seat available for grant of admission. Even otherwise, the High Court has no power to give a direction for admission into MBBS course beyond the cut-off date fixed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court coupled with the fact that there were no vacancies existing even after the cut-off date.

The Petitioner seems to have lost interest in the writ application. The same is dismissed.
