1. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been issued with a charge sheet on 12.09.2017 and till date no further progress has been made by the respondents on the said charge sheet.
2. The counsel for the petitioner submits that pendency of the departmental enquiry can be detrimental to the promotional avenues of the petitioner and therefore he wants that the department be directed to conclude the departmental enquiry at the earliest.
3. The said limited prayer by the petitioner is not opposed by the respondents.
4. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to ensure that the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner by issuance of a charge
sheet on 12.09.2017 be acted upon and the inquiry be concluded at the earliest preferably within an upper limit of 4 months from the date of receipt of the order.
5. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to bring it to the notice of the respondent No.2 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.
6. Needless to mention that the petitioner shall also provide full cooperation in the inquiry that may be initiated by the respondents, if any.
