1. This MCC is for extension of time, preferred by the State and Authorities of the Forest Department. It is stated that the direction given by the Division Bench of this Court vide order dated 03.05.2018 passed in WPPIL No.101 of 2017 (Dinkar Rao Waretwar Vs. State of Chhattisgarh & Others) to have the matter finalized within six months from the date of receipt of copy of order could not be finalized because of complicity in the facts and nature of the departmental enquiry against large numbers of officials involved. It is pointed out that collection of evidence and production of documents require more time.

2. Heard Mr. Sudeep Agrawal, Dy. Adv. General appearing for the applicants.

3. Obviously the verdict of the bench was passed on 03.05.2018, certified copy of verdict was ready by 08.05.2018 and same was delivered to the applicants on 09.05.2018. The period of six months granted by the Court, expired on 08.11.2018.

4. The present application has been filed only much belatedly on 06.06.2019.

5. Admittedly, no application seeking for extension of time was preferred before expiry of the time limit. Under such circumstances, by virtue of the settled position of law, the matter cannot be entertained at this stage.

6. MCC stands dismissed.
