1. The limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents No.2 to 4 to consider and decide the application of the petitioner for grant of fresh lease to the petitioner for operating Pankhati pond.

2. According to the petitioner, they were earlier also granted lease for the said pond for a period of seven years and the lease has since expired and the petitioners have again moved an application for execution of fresh lease but the same has till date not been finalized.

3. The State does not oppose the prayer of the petitioner for an appropriate direction to the respondents for taking an appropriate decision at the earliest.

In view of the submissions made by the counsel for the State, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondents No.2 to 4 to take an appropriate decision on the aspect of granting lease to the petitioner on Pankhati pond in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondents No.2 to 4 so far as order passed by this court is concerned.
