1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's daughter, who is a victim of rape and sexual offence, has made an application to the Dean, Government Medical College & Hospital, Rajnandgaon for termination of pregnancy in accordance with Section 3 of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971 (for short, 'the Act of 1971') which is not being entertained by the said officer.
2. Learned State counsel submits that the application will be considered by respondent No.3 Dean, Government Medical College & Hospital, Rajnandgaon, on its own merit strictly in accordance with the Act of 1971 within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. The statement of learned State counsel is taken on record and the writ petition stands finally disposed of in terms of the above statement. No order as to cost(s).
