1. The challenge in the present writ petition is to the Annexure P-2 dated 10.02.2020; whereby the application of the petitioner for grant of permanent caste certificate has been rejected by the Sub-Divisional Officer( R) Durg, District Durg.

2. At the outset, this Court is of the opinion that the said order is an appealable order and the appeal lies to the District Collector. Since there is an efficacious alternative remedy available to the petitioner, the present writ petition is not sustainable.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed off, directing the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy of appeal, if the petitioner so wants.
