(1) The petitioner has preferred this writ petition to direct respondent No.2 to grant him promotion from the post of

Assistant Lineman to Assistant Grade II (Line), from the date in which his juniors have been promoted i.e. 24.01.2017, filed as (Annexure P/2) with all consequential benefits and to consider his pending representation, filed on 17.06.2017 (Annexure P/3).

(2) The petitioner is working as Assistant Lineman and posted at Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited, Keshkal.

(3) Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the instant writ petition may be disposed of by giving direction to respondents No.2 & 3 that they shall consider and decide the pending representation of the petitioner dated 17.06.2017 (Annexure P/3) within stipulated time.

(4) I have learned counsel for the petitioner.

(5) Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of with this direction that respondents No.2 & 3 shall consider and decide the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2017 (Annexure P/3) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, according to law and procedure.

(6) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
