1. The challenge in the present writ petition is to the order of termination dated 30.04.2021.

2. The order under challenge is an appealable order and the appeal would lie to the Inspector General of Police.

3. Given the fact that there is a statutory alternative remedy available to the petitioner, the writ petition at this stage stands disposed off, permitting the petitioner to prefer a departmental appeal to the Appellate Authority. Subject to the petitioner preferring an appeal, the Appellate Authority shall consider and decide the appeal on its own merits at the earliest.
