The grievance of the Petitioner is with regard to the alleged contumacious action on the part of the Respondent in not giving effect to Annexure C/1 order dated 20.01.2020 passed by this Court in Writ Appeal No. 42/2020, whereby an order of 'status quo' has been ordered. It is pointed out by the learned counsel that, despite the said order and the Petitioner's continuing in office in the same station in Bilaspur, the salary has not been paid for the month of August 2020 and hence the contempt matter.

During the course of argument, the learned counsel concedes that the writ appeal is still pending and that the grievance could be brought to the notice of this Court by way of appropriate proceedings in the pending matter. In the said circumstance, permission is sought for to withdraw the contempt of Court petition and to pursue appropriate course of proceedings in the writ appeal.

In the said circumstance, the permission is granted. 4.
