The petitioner had challenged the order of transfer dated 14.08.2017 on the ground that he had been transferred as many as five times within a period of five years and that by the present transfer order, he was sought to be transferred within one year of the last transfer. 3.

This Court, by an order dated 14.09.2017, had stayed the transfer order and as a consequence thereof, the petitioner is continuing in the very same place from where he was sought to be transferred.

In view of the fact that more than 4 years have elapsed and as the transfer order was stayed by this Court, the order of transfer has spent its force and therefore, the respondents shall not insist implementation of the said order of transfer. However, liberty is reserved to the respondents to pass such orders, as may be considered appropriate, in the interest of public service and administrative exigency.

The petition stands disposed of in terms of the above directions and observations.
