1. The relief sought for in the present writ petition is that the revised pay-scale that has been granted to the petitioner w.e.f 01.04.2006 should have been from 01.04.2003.

2. According to the petitioner, he was initially appointed on 24.11.1983 and he became entitled for the revised pay-scale on completion of 10 years service and as such he would be entitled for the benefit of the second revised payscale on further completion of 10 years i.e. 01.04.2003 instead of that he has been paid w.e.f 01.04.2006 onwards vide order Annexure P/3 dated 01.05.2017.

3. According to Counsel for the petitioner, he has already raised his objection and representation before the authorities concerned and the said representation is still pending consideration.

4. Given the aforesaid limited relief, let the claim of the petitioner be scrutinized by the respondent No. 1 & 2 in accordance with the circular applicable for grant of revised pay-scale in the department and consider the representation that the petitioner has made at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondents so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.
