1. The issue raised by the petitioner in the present writ petition is the nongranting of consequential benefits to the petitioner in the light of the seniority list being corrected and revised.

2. The respondent State in their return which has been filed on 9th of January, 2018 in paragraph-6 has held as under: "It is specifically submitted that the State of Chhattisgarh being a welfare State is taking care of its citizens and employees and acting upon the representations submitted by the petitioner the matter of the petitioner is under consideration with the Government and certain information was sought from the government of Madhya Pradesh and after receiving the

-3information the case of the petitioner will be considered and decided accordingly."

In the light of the statement made by the respondent State in their return wherein they say that the case of the petitioner is in the process of consideration and they would be taking a decision at the earliest, the present writ petition stands disposed of, expecting an early decision from the respondent State preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
