1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition was that the petitioner was unable to participate in the PhD admission process on account of respondents not declaring the results of Master of Pharma Course (4th Semester) for the academic session 2019-2020 duration of which was two years.

2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the counsel for the university submits that the results have since been declared as early as on 21.09.2020 and the petitioner has also been successful in clearing the same with 1st Division marks. According to the counsel for the

university, now she has cleared the exam and she is eligible to participate in the PhD admission process.

3. Given the said statement by the counsel for the petitioner and also taken note of the fact that many PhD seats in the university are still lying vacant for which the notices were issued as early as on 22.07.2020, ends of justice would meet, if the petitioner is directed to file a detailed representation approaching the respondent no. 1 for permission to participate in the PhD admission course which was initiated vide notice Annexure P-5 dated 22.07.2020 in accordance with law and the rules governing the field. The authorities may consider the case of the petitioner sympathetically with a view ensuring that the candidate does not lose a year of academic session only on account of results being declared belatedly because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
