1. The order under challenge is an order of suspension dated 10.08.2021 (Annexure P-1). Vide the said order the petitioner's services have been placed under suspension.

2. The order of suspension dated 10.08.2021 has been passed invoking the provisions of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1966 (in short "the Rules of 1966"). The impugned order is an appealable order under Rule 23 of the said Rules of 1966.

3. In view of the fact that the impugned order being an appealable order, the present writ petition as of now stands disposed of, permitting the

petitioner to prefer an appeal before the appellate authority. Subject to the petitioner preferring an appeal, the appellate authority is expected to take a decision on the appeal on its own merits at the earliest, preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of filing of the appeal by the petitioner.
