1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.23/2019 registered in Police Station Dornapal, District Sukma for offence under Section 20-B of the NDPS Act.
2. The applicant was found to be in possession of 20 kg of ganja when he was travelling from Kalimela to Dornapal, Sukma in an auto-rickshaw on 26.11.2019.
3. Learned counsel for the applicant would submit that the applicant is in jail since last more than one year and two other persons who were travelling with the applicant in the auto-rickshaw have now been sent for trial.
4. On the other hand, learned State Counsel would oppose the prayer for grant of bail.
5. Having considered the quantity of contraband recovered from the applicant, I am not inclined to release the applicant on bail. Accordingly, the application is rejected.
