1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail as he apprehends his arrest in connection with Crime No.245/2020, registered at Police Station Kanker, District North Baster, Kanker for offences punishable under Section 376 and 506 of the IPC.

2. The applicant committed sexual intercourse with the prosecutrix on number of occasions on promise to marry.

3. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to exercise power under Section 438 of the CrPC to release the applicant on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the Application is rejected. However, if the applicant surrenders and applies for regular bail before the Sessions Court under Section 439 CrPC, the same shall be considered and decided expeditiously.
