This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking issuance of direction for consideration of his claim for promotion to the next higher post of Assistant Foreman Mechanical Grade "C" w.e.f. 01.01.2010 and Foreman Mechanical Grade "B" / "A" w.e.f. 2015 as per promotion policy of respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was promoted from time to time ever-since his initial appointment upto year 2010. However, his promotion to the next higher posts as referred in above have not been considered though he is not only eligible, but also vacancies are available.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the claim for promotion, as raised in the petition, is pending consideration before the respondents and his claim shall be decided in accordance with the existing Rules and Schemes enforceable for promotion prevalent in the respondents - company.

In view of the aforesaid submission, at this stage, I am inclined to dispose off this petition with a direction to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion in accordance with the existing Rules and Schemes of promotion applicable in the respondents - company and take decision thereon within a period of four months.
